It is every man’s dream to achieve a much healthier physique in having better the ability to last longer in bed. This is also true for men over the age of 60 as well.
The problem is that a lot of men want to have that quick fix. So, they try to do a lot of things in a short span of time. They tend to train a ridiculous number of hours to the point of exhaustion. The result? They just quick altogether.
Living a healthy life and achieving the body that you’ve always wanted takes time. You cannot just fast track these processes since your body doesn’t change too drastically and over a short period of time.
If you are fat now, that fat accumulation required some time as well. So, what makes you think that you can fast track your slimming progress?
Well, the good thing is that even though maintaining good health is easy, it should be considered as a marathon and not a sprint.
Today, I am going to give you some proven strategies to help improve health for men over the age of 60.
1.Keep Yourself Hydrated
One of the things that will decline as we age is our ability to feel thirsty. Once that declines, you may go about your day staying dehydrated which can, in turn, affect your internal bodily processes.
What you want to do is drink plenty of water in a day. If you do not feel the sensation of thirstiness, you can drink water every 60-90 minutes (a glass will do). The reason why you want to stay hydrated is that our normal bodily functions tend to be at its peak performance when you get enough water.
Your joints will be well-lubricated, minimizing the risks of getting arthritis. Staying well-hydrated can also improve our cognitive processes, as well as our metabolism too.
Although you do not have to chug 8 glasses of water per day, it is important that you still drink plenty of water that is enough for your body.
2.Get Enough Sleep
As we age, sleep is more important for our bodies than ever. Getting 6-8 hours of sleep per night ensures that you are going to wake up feeling refreshed and invigorated.
It is recommended that you maintain a regular sleep schedule and you follow this sleeping plan for a long time. This will ensure that your body will have a solid circadian rhythm and it allows you to become energized for the rest of the day.
3.Cope with Stress
Stress is one of the leading causes of most of the medical conditions that are present in people of old age. Trying to relax while also getting enough rest ensures that your body is rid of stressful elements.
4.Get Enough Exercise
Conventional wisdom would state that you need 15-30 minutes of aerobic activity per day, that is actually the reason why people become obese.
We live in a world of convenience but our bodies are designed to move. Go out there and do some physical activities. But, you do not follow any distance or time requirement- you ask your body if it needs to rest and then go from there.
5.Have a Well-Balanced Diet
For older men, you want to focus more on carbs, a little bit of fat, and some protein. Aim to get at least 60% of your calories from carbs, 30% of your calories from protein, and 10% from fat.
